Fernanda Brenner, (1924-2005), was an Italian born New Zealand Artist who was known for her Maori Portraits, some her own compositions whilst others were copies of Goldie's. At 12 years old she was awarded a scholarship to study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and migrated to N.Z in 1951. She became a member of the New Zealand Acadamy of Arts and taught painting. She also had numerous exhibitions in Wellington.
