A handsome traditional Windsor armchair crafted in solid elm, featuring the classic high hoop back with turned spindles, shaped saddle seat and elegantly turned legs united by a crinoline stretcher. The beautifully figured elm grain and rich warm patina give the chair tremendous character and visual appeal. Circa late 18th, early 19th century.

Previously owned by Adrian Michael Garrett (1931–2025),  a notable resident of Kerikeri, New Zealand. He operated the Quarterdeck Shire Stud focusing on breeding heavy horses such as Shires, Clydesdales, and Piebald Gypsy Vanners.

Excellent condition with a rich aged finish and minor wear consistent with age and use. Solid and sturdy.
