$950.00
A highly decorative Jacobean Revival oak writing desk, featuring bold barley twist legs, carved stretchers, shaped carved back gallery and richly carved apron panels. The desk has a sloped fall-front writing surface with a leather or leatherette inset panel, opening to reveal a fitted interior storage compartment.
The design draws strongly on late 17th-century Jacobean furniture motifs, but this is best described as Jacobean Revival, likely late 19th to early 20th century rather than period Jacobean. The heavy oak construction, barley twist supports, scroll carving, carved rosette detail and scaled apron decoration give it strong visual presence.
