Dairies and Milk Bars had these lolly bins on their counter when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. We used to purchase lollies from these bulk containers that were then put into small white paper bags. "10 cents of mixed lollies please"
I imagine they were manufactured in the 50's and 60's
This one has 4 compartments, each with 2 access doors at the rear; one to refill the compartment and one for the scoop when dispensing.
A little bit of social history and today a unique addition to a commercial or home interior. Countless new uses including using it reversed, as a cabinet for curiosities or in your kitchen to store grains and cereals. Would be great to fill with coffee beans in a cafe.
