At its height, the company dominated the global market for 3D photographic views, long before cinema or television became commonplace. Made in New York around 1901-1910.
Made during the period when 3D viewing was at its height, this well constructed example features a wooden body with original metal hood and twin lenses, designed to give an immersive three dimensional viewing experience. These stereoscopes were widely used in middle class homes and schools as a way to explore the world from the comfort of the parlour, long before film or television
