I remember these toys from the 1960's and 70's, riding around on the parcel shelf in the back of cars, heads constantly nodding.
Known as Bobbleheads, Nodders or Wobblers with their over-sized heads they were first made in the 19th century and had a revival in the 1950's.
This one is considerably larger then the one's I remember and is made of some composite material. Very skillfully crafted it resembles a German Shepard and has a seperate collar to add to the realism. Many of these toys were made in Germany in the 20's and 30's but this one is perhaps from the 50's. In remarkably good condition with no damage, aside from some wear to the paint on his nose. Give this much loved and faithful hound a new home..
