An exceptionally evocative and unique piece of art which will look fabulous in a modern space.
The Mambila Tribe of Northern Nigeria/Cameroon made these zoomorphic masks to be worn in dances with the dancer looking out between the open jaws.
The mask could have been used in a range of ceremonies including harvest festivals and the holes would have secured a costume possibly made out of feathers.
