Magnificent bronze Vietnamese Incense burner. Manufactured probably in the early 20th century in the Hua region on the central coast.
It consists of 5 pieces including the base, main body, two fruits ether side, and the lid surmounted by the lion dog. Each element represents something; the faux bamboo handles mean strength and the fruit represent fertility. Purchased in Ho Chi Minh City.
Measures 500 mm tall, 360 mm wide, 180 mm deep.
